Inter Milan are considering a late return for Ivan Perisic from PSV as they assess options to strengthen the wide areas before the transfer window closes.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter’s directors and coaching staff held an in-depth transfer summit immediately after Wednesday night’s win over Lecce.

The meeting allowed the club to review market strategy for the final days of the window and led to a clear conclusion.

Inter will try, within their limits, to provide Cristian Chivu with an additional wing-back.

The newspaper reports that club figures remained inside San Siro long after full-time, with president Beppe Marotta, sporting director Piero Ausilio, deputy director Dario Baccin, head coach Chivu and Aleksandar Kolarov all involved.

Despite an unconvincing performance, the group shared a positive mood following a result that eased pressure on the squad.

Discussions focused on the shortage of high-level right-sided options currently available on the market.

Inter have now decided to intervene in that area, even if solutions remain limited.

Within that context, Perisic has re-emerged as a potential option.

Inter are keeping the Croatian as a late-market possibility rather than a primary target.

Any move would depend on two conditions: PSV would need to open the door to negotiations, something they have not done so far, and the deal would have to fit Inter’s short-term planning.

For now, Perisic remains a fallback option.

Inter continue to scan the market, but his name stays on the table as the Nerazzurri weigh their final moves before the deadline.
