Inter Milan are monitoring Galatasaray goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir after a standout season in Türkiye, but the Istanbul club are said to have closed the door on a sale.
Fotomaç reports that Inter have begun to probe the 30-year-old’s situation, with no formal offer yet, as they assess goalkeeping options for the 2026/27 campaign and track his numbers and availability.
Cakir joined Galatasaray from Trabzonspor last summer and has been central to their defensive record, featuring in 35 matches in all competitions.
The report said Galatasaray have taken a firm line, insisting Cakir is not for sale and are unwilling to negotiate with Inter or any other European side. Head coach Okan Buruk considers him integral to the long-term plan, and the board want their first-choice keeper in place for next season’s Champions League push.
Amid broader recruitment work, the Yellow-Reds have been linked with a Uruguayan left-back, while Buruk recently provided an update on the status of Victor Osimhen.
For now, the message from Galatasaray remains clear, Europe’s elite may be watching, but any exit for Cakir is off the table.
