Inter Milan are targeting Juventus’ head of youth development Michele Sbravati as they look to reshape their academy structure this summer, with changes also potentially coming at Primavera level.
The departure of Massimo Tarantino, Inter’s former head of youth development who has returned to Roma, has created a vacancy the club are keen to fill with the right candidate.
According to FCInter1908, Inter have identified Sbravati as the ideal successor.
The Juventus man currently holds the equivalent role at the Bianconeri.
Furthermore, he is considered by Inter’s hierarchy as the perfect fit to take over Tarantino’s responsibilities.
There are other options too.
Fiorentina’s Valentino Angeloni and Parma’s Mattia Notari are also on the shortlist.
Discussions over coaching renewals across the academy have been put on hold in the meantime.
Indeed, pending clarity on the structure above them.
A separate subplot concerns Benito Carbone, the current Inter Primavera head coach.
His future beyond this summer is not guaranteed, with the possibility of his departure from the club a live one.
Should Carbone leave, one scenario under consideration would see him follow Tarantino to Roma.
Indeed, a reunion that would represent a significant double exit from Inter’s youth setup in the same summer.
