Inter Milan ‘to target’ Djed Spence after £25.6m move for Anan Khalaili collapses | OneFootball

Djed Spence, the former Leeds United loanee, has emerged as a possible Inter Milan option after a £25.6m bid for Anan Khalaili collapsed.

Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Inter want a new wing-back this summer and have turned to Spence following that failed medical.

The right-back’s 2023 loan at Elland Road proved difficult, with seven appearances before Leeds activated a January break clause. A subsequent six-month spell at Bologna also failed to take off.

Back at Tottenham, Spence has since played 55 Premier League games, 42 starts, and earned an England call-up for this summer’s World Cup. He has often come on late to close out wins against Mexico and Norway.

Everton are also interested as they look to replace Seamus Coleman, who left at the end of his contract this summer, The Athletic has reported.

At the time of his departure, Leeds manager Daniel Farke said ending the loan was the right decision, praised Spence’s potential and wished him well. Any transfer now could be costly given his recent form.
