Inter Milan want to sign two strikers this summer transfer window, but only in the event that Mehdi Taremi leaves.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They name Rasmus Hojlund and Ange-Yoan Bonny as the main targets.

It is hardly a secret that Inter Milan will need to bolster their attack this summer.

Meanwhile, Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram will certainly stay on as the first-choice attacking duo.

However, the question of what the attacking depth will look like is up in the air.

One thing that’s clear is that Inter want to skew younger with their attacking signings. They are targeting players with room to grow, rather than veteran profiles.

Manchester United flop Rasmus Hojlund is reportedly right at the top of Inter’s list.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri have also been in talks with Parma for Ange-Yoan Bonny. The Frenchman would cost €20-25 million.

Ideally, the Corriere dello Sport report, Inter would like to sign both. They do not see them as alternatives.

However, the newspaper adds, Inter would have to first make room in their squad.

And there is little doubt as to what that would entail.

Inter must find a new club for Iranian international striker Mehdi Taremi.

The 32-year-old only arrived last summer on a free transfer from Porto. However, he endured a deeply underwhelming first season at the club.

Therefore, Inter want to sell Taremi on for a modest profit this summer.

Should the Nerazzurri find a solution for Taremi, they can move for both Hojlund and Bonny – or else, two other young strikers.

However, should Taremi stay at the San Siro, this would become much trickier.
