Cristian Chivu’s players had to settle for a 1-1 draw this Sunday evening on Fiorentina’s pitch, marking a third consecutive Serie A match without a win, after the 1-0 defeat in the derby against AC Milan and last weekend’s 1-1 draw against Atalanta.

Francesco Pio Esposito opened the scoring in the very first minute, before Cher Ndour equalized in the 78th minute.

The Nerazzurri remain leaders but now have only a slim six-point lead over their runner-up, AC Milan, who won against Torino this Saturday.

There are eight matchdays left to play in Serie A. The title race promises to be thrilling right to the end!
