Marcel Sabitzer scored another goal for Austria, having previously netted from the penalty spot for his homeland against Cyprus: in the 2-1 (0-0) win against Bosnia & Herzegovina, the Borussia player gave his team a 1-0 lead in the 49th minute after a failed attempted clearance by the Bosnians. The hosts did immediately level via Edin Dzeko at Stadion Bilino Polje (50), but Konrad Laimer scored to make it 2-1 and wrap up the victory (65). Bosnia & Herzegovina remain top of the Group H table thanks to their superior goal difference, but the win means Austria are level on points in second place with a game in hand.
Julian Ryerson also had cause for celebration. In the colours of the Norway national team, the Borussia player celebrated an 11-1 (5-0) demolition of Moldova. Former Borussia player Erling Haaland scored five times at Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo – one of the goals was set up by Julian Ryerson via a corner-kick (10-1, 83). Norway currently top Group I ahead of Italy, with 15 points from five games.
Filippo Mane was part of the Italy U21 squad that recorded a 1-0 (1-0) victory against North Macedonia in EURO qualifying. The Borussia player did not feature on Tuesday evening, however.
