Inter Milan striker Mehdi Taremi once again underwhelmed in yesterday evening’s Serie A draw against Bologna.
This is the view in the player ratings for the match across Italian media, via TuttoMercatoWeb.
Taremi was not in the Inter starting eleven yesterday evening.
However, the Iranian international did come on as a substitute during the second half of the match. He replaced Nerazzurri captain Lautaro Martinez, who had run himself into the ground.
This was a good opportunity for Taremi to really make his mark in Serie A.
The 32-year-old has yet to really do so. He had a standout performance against AC Milan in the Supercoppa Italiana final and has caught the eye in the Champions League.
But in the league, Taremi has yet to score a goal. And his overall performances have also left something to be desired.
Taremi did have one glorious chance in the second half of yesterday’s match.
That came at a time when the scoreline was 2-2 and Inter were chasing the winner.
Taremi certainly had every chance of getting onto the end of a through-ball into the penalty area.
However, the Iranian’s first touch was far too heavy, and the chance was gone.
Meanwhile, Taremi’s overall play was not incisive enough around the penalty area. The former Porto striker could not give Inter the boost they needed to find the winning goal.
