Inter Milan star Federico Dimarco has been the undisputed ‘assist king’ in Serie A this season.

According to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, the 28-year-old has racked up 13 league assists this term. This is the official number provided by the Lega Calcio, who organize the Serie A.

Dimarco soaked up the limelight as Inter’s headline performer in Sunday’s 5-0 rout of Sassuolo. Several other sources claim Dimarco has 11 assists.

However, the Serie A’s official tally is 13. And, as Sky Sport Italia report, that is the official stat of the league.

Therefore as a result, Sky Sport Italia consider Dimarco’s tally to be 13, even though some of his assists included in this number, are disputed.

Indeed, the in-form wingback registered three assists, setting up Marcus Thuram, Yann Bisseck, and Manuel Akanji.

In doing so, Dimarco extended his overall assist tally in Serie A to 13.

Though several domestic outlets have tried to dispute that figure, Lega Calcio is adamant.

Dimarco is the most creative player in Italy’s top flight and the best assist provider in Europe’s top-five leagues.
