Italy U21 talent Kayode signs long-term Brentford deal to 2032 | OneFootball

Italy Under-21 international Michael Kayode has signed a new long-term contract with Brentford amid Juventus interest. The club said in a statement that the improved deal runs to June 2032, with an option for a further year.

The versatile full-back turns 22 next week and can play on either flank in defence.

He came through the youth systems of Juventus, Gozzano and Fiorentina before thriving with the Viola. He joined Brentford on loan in January 2025, then the option to buy was exercised last summer for a total €18m.

In his first full season he made 44 competitive appearances, scored one goal and provided two assists, earning a nomination for the Premier League Young Player of the Season.

He regards the club as a family, with relationships that make training a daily pleasure alongside team-mates, staff and colleagues. He feels as though he has been at Brentford for years and believes he has developed on and off the pitch.

Despite those displays, he is yet to win his first senior Italy cap.
