Jacaré ‘to sign’ for Joinville as Benfica futsal exit looms | OneFootball

Benfica futsal pivot Jacaré will leave at the end of his contract and return to Brazil with Joinville, according to Zona Técnica.

The board led by Rui Costa did not pursue a renewal, and the Brazilian is seeing out his final months at the club. He continues to show commitment, helping Cassiano Klein’s side chase the season’s remaining trophies.

The move back to Joinville will bring his European experience to their attack, while closing a Benfica spell marked by strong numbers and decisive contributions to silverware.

This season he has been an impact substitute for Cassiano Klein, featuring in 28 competitive matches and scoring 20 goals. Since joining in 2019/20, he has won one Campeonato Nacional, one Taça de Portugal, one Supertaça and two Taças da Liga.

Diego Nunes is also set to depart at the end of the season. The winger will not renew his contract, with Palma his destination.
