The pleasure of being coached by Pep Guardiola at Manchester City is an experience that money cannot buy, Jack Grealish has insisted.

The England international winger has been working alongside the Catalan since first arriving at the Etihad Stadium from Aston Villa in the summer of 2021, when Manchester City sanctioned a £100 million fee for the forward.

Since then, Grealish has gone on to become a largely instrumental figure in Manchester City’s successes, offering the unique ability of holding the ball up in advanced areas of the pitch and ensuring that possession is retained in the final third.

Alongside his on-field successes, Grealish has also enjoyed widespread silverware success with his Manchester City teammates, claiming three successive Premier League titles at the club as part of a historic four-in-a-row, as well as a Treble success in the 2022/23 season.

A large part of that success is often credited to Pep Guardiola and his tactical vision deployed on his first-team squad at the club, and Jack Grealish has been keen to recognise the Catalan’s qualities during a new interview.

Speaking to Manchester City’s official club website, Grealish has insisted that the world class quality of Pep Guardiola has a coach is something that you simply cannot buy within the game.

“I think the way he sees football is different to everyone else,” Grealish glowed on the 53-year-old tactician.

He continued, “It is something you can’t buy, it is something that is worth years of experience and he sees football completely different to the way anyone does. It’s so unique and so good.

“He is a brilliant manager and a pleasure to play for.”

Jack Grealish and Manchester City extended their winning run in the Premier League this season into a ninth gameweek, as they came from behind to defeat Wolves at Molineux on Sunday afternoon.

Having gone behind within the opening 10 minutes, a Josko Gvardiol equaliser in the first-half was added to in the fifth minute of additional time at the end of the game via an unstoppable John Stones header at a corner.
