Welcome back, Jamal Musiala! 164 days after suffering a serious injury in the Club World Cup match against Paris Saint-Germain, the 22-year-old returned to the pitch on Tuesday morning and was able to take part in some aspects FC Bayern's team training. Musiala was given a warm welcome by his teammates, who formed a guard of honour for him before he took part in the warm-up and some passing drills. The attacking midfielder then continued his individual rehab programme.
On Tuesday, FC Bayern started their final training week of the year, which will end with a visit to 1. FC Heidenheim. Jamal Musiala also returned to the pitch following his serious injury in the summer and completed parts of the team session.

Last week, Vincent Kompany had already raised the prospect of the return of the top-class technician: "Jamal is getting close," said the head coach ahead of the Bundesliga clash with Mainz 05: "Hopefully he'll be able to take part in a few training sessions before Christmas. That would just be nice in terms of how it would feel - for the team and for him. And hopefully he'll get his first few minutes in January. That would be the ideal plan for us."
