Jan Bednarek “dodges” question about Lewandowski and FC Porto

“He was not obliged to be with us. That shows that he believes in our national team. The experience he has will certainly help the younger players. He is a player we want to play with for as long as possible. He seems to me the best in the history of the Polish national team. Playing alongside him is an incredible pleasure. I hope he does not retire from the national team,” he said.

Asked afterwards whether he would try to persuade “Lewa” to join him and fellow countrymen Jakub Kiwior and Oskar Pietuszewski at the Dragons, Bednarek declined to comment. It should be recalled that president André Villas-Boas recently said that Lewandowski “is completely beyond FC Porto’s financial means”.
