Morocco's Jalal Jayed has been named fourth official for the match.

Valenzuela previously took charge of France at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the 3-1 round of 16 win over Poland. He showed three yellow cards, including to Aurélien Tchouaméni. Olivier Giroud opened the scoring before Kylian Mbappé struck twice.

At this tournament he has officiated three games, Australia 2-0 Türkiye and Bosnia and Herzegovina 3-1 Qatar in the group stage, then Côte d'Ivoire 1-2 Norway in the round of 32.
