MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup Semifinals have concluded, with only two nations remaining in the quest to lift the trophy on July 6.

Many players delivered outstanding performances, yet these eleven stood out the most in their respective positions.

Goalkeeper

Matt Freese, USA – Freese was in stellar form against Guatemala. He contributed four saves, including a crucial intervention in added time, and two claimed crosses to help USA secure a spot in the final.

Defenders

Aarón Herrera, Guatemala – Herrera clocked in a standout performance despite Guatemala falling short of the final. The right-back completed the full ninety minutes, winning all five of the duels he faced, recording four clearances and an interception.

Johan Vázquez, Mexico – The center-back led the defensive line for Mexico as the defending champions kept its opponent scoreless for a fourth time in five matches. Vázquez tallied six clearances and one interception, while completing 82 passes and a 94 percent pass completion rate.

Nicolás Samayoa, Guatemala – Samayoa delivered a solid performance for Los Chapines with five duels won, eight clearances and two interceptions.

Joseph Rosales, Honduras – Rosales bossed the left flank, winning five out of six duels faced, and contributing five clearances and two interceptions. He also registered a shot on target.

Midfielders

Sebastian Berhalter, USA – Berhalter was an active presence for the United States in the center of the park throughout the full ninety minutes against Guatemala. The midfielder posted an attempt on goal, while also winning seven duels, tallying two clearances and an interception.

Gilberto Mora, Mexico – The 16-year-old impressed with an outstanding performance for Mexico in its Semifinals triumph over Honduras. He contributed an assist and completed 28 passes for a notable 90 percent pass completion rate, while also winning eight out of 12 duels and recording two tackles.

Diego Luna, USA – Luna was the hero for the United States in Semifinals, bagging a brace to secure the win for The Stars and Stripes. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder completed was precise on the ball with his two attempts being on target, while also winning three duels.

Forwards

Patrick Agyemang, USA – The U.S. forward was lively in attack in his 85 minutes on the field, with two out of four shots on target, and winning six of 10 duels.

Raúl Jiménez, Mexico – Mexico’s third all-time leading scorer took his Gold Cup career tally to nine with his second strike in the 2025 edition, scoring the match-winning goal in El Tricolor’s Semifinal encounter.

Alexis Vega, Mexico – Vega returns to the Best XI following another influential showing. The attacker was precise on the ball and completed 87 percent of his passes, while also playing a role defensively with seven of 12 duels won and two interceptions.
