Jody Morris believes Cole Palmer will go to another level by playing in the Champions League for Chelsea next season.
Palmer is already one of the best players in the Premier League, and capped off his second season at Chelsea with two trophies.
The 22-year-old was instrumental in both the Conference League and Club World Cup finals, and was one of, if not the main reason the Blues lifted those trophies.
Palmer stole the show against Paris Saint Germain as he scored twice and assisted Joao Pedro for the third goal.
The England international was named man of the match, and also won the Player of the Tournament award, which he thoroughly deserved.
Palmer endured a difficult spell last season in which he failed to score for a number of games, or have an impact on proceedings, but it looks like he’s come through that now.

The former Manchester City man is now having a well earned break before the new campaign, and Morris believes he can go to another level.
“For me, he’s a superstar already, but I still think he’s got another level to go to, because I think you need to play in the Champions League for you to be considered the next level,” he told talkSPORT.
“We saw what he did on the right-hand side in the Conference League final. He took it upon himself to go and right, ‘I’m going to make something happen.’
“There’s a few players that can do that. We were lucky enough to have probably the best to ever do that, Eden Hazard. Cole Palmer is in that same bracket.”
Whilst Palmer is the jewel in the attacking crown, the Blues haven’t ruled out signing another attacker, and Xavi Simons could make the switch to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are said to be admirers of Simons, who is also attracting interest from Arsenal, and it’s thought his preference is a move to the Premier League.
Simons is said to be valued at around €65m, and it will be interesting to see if Chelsea make a serious move for the 22-year-old.
