Leeds extended their unbeaten run into 2026 with a draw at Sunderland, but concern grew over Joe Rodon after ankle blows forced his first-half withdrawal.
According to Leedsunited.news, presenter Rich Williams called the situation a concern and said he hoped it was not serious.
Sunderland led 1-0 at the break when Simon Adingra curled in his first goal for the hosts from a tight angle, beyond Lucas Perri.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin levelled in the second half to secure the point. Rodon later returned to the bench. The centre-back had started 104 league games in succession for Leeds, nine shy of Norman Hunter’s 113, and that pursuit is now at risk.
In his post-match press conference, Daniel Farke said Rodon suffered a bad ankle knock with swelling and he doubts the defender will be available for Liverpool next week.
