Jorge Mendes offers Man City superstar to Real Madrid but club remains unconvinced | OneFootball

According to a recent update from Fichajes, it has come to light that the agent of Manchester City captain Bernardo Silva, Jorge Mendes, has approached Real Madrid several times, offering them the services of the Portuguese star, possibly on a free transfer.

The 30-year-old midfielder’s contract with Manchester City runs until 2026, but signs suggest he could look for a way out before then.

Bernardo, who will turn 31 in August, has hinted he is not planning to renew his deal with City.

Despite being one of the club’s captains and an important figure in the dressing room, he may be seeking a new challenge before the end of his career.

Their ideal signings are players like Vitinha or Alexis Mac Allister, who are young midfielders and can grow into leaders over the next few years. However, these moves are not easy due to high transfer fees and market conditions.

For now, Mendes is continuing his search for a top club for Bernardo. But at Real Madrid, it appears that they have different plans.

Even the possibility of getting the Portuguese playmaker on a free transfer has not fully convinced the decision-makers at the club.
