Bellingham targets another Champions League miracle at the Bernabeu
Jude Bellingham has issued a warning to Arsenal as Real Madrid prepare to host the Gunners in the Champions League quarter-final second leg.
Real Madrid suffered a 3-0 defeat at the Emirates in the first leg after two brilliant Declan Rice free-kicks and a goal from Mikel Merino.
While there is a mountain to climb, Real Madrid have a history of big Champions League comebacks and Bellingham said: “Comeback has been the most repeated word in the dressing room. I’ve heard it a million times. It's a night made for Real Madrid.”
Real Madrid downed Bayern Munich in last season’s semi-finals by way of a late brace from former Stoke City striker Joselu, and came from behind to beat both Chelsea and Manchester City on the way to the 2021-22 title.

Leaning on that pedigree, Bellingham said the squad are quietly confident in pulling off another miracle and had set their sights on doing so immediately after the disappointment of the first leg.
He continued: “We do think that it will be difficult, but the more you speak to the other lads and see how confident they are, it rubs off on you. It’s infectious. It makes you a lot more comfortable and confident about the situation.
“By the time we were back on the coach [after the first leg] we were all, not in good spirits obviously, but realised we could still be in the competition.”
“It is a weird environment at the minute. It's one of the worst results we could possibly imagine away, and for some reason, people think it is nailed on that we will come back.
“It means people trust the talent and the club and recognise you’re at one of the best clubs in the world. There’s a pressure that comes with it, but that’s what it's all about.”
