Julian Weigl and wife suffer family tragedy as pregnancy ends unexpectedly

Julian Weigl and wife Sarah Richmond are mourning the loss of a pregnancy, having been expecting their third child.

In an Instagram post, Richmond revealed the news and shared a hospital photo with two soft toys.

She had intended to announce the pregnancy soon, a joyful secret in recent weeks. The journey ended quickly, before they could meet their baby.

She also reflected on the grief faced by many in silence, noting that time may not heal every wound and wondering if one day it might become easier.

Weigl and Sarah have been together for more than a decade and married in 2020. They have two children, a six-year-old daughter and a two-year-old son. After living in Portugal from 2019 to 2022, they now reside in Saudi Arabia, where the former Benfica midfielder continues his career.
