Mwanga has been on loan at Nantes from Strasbourg since the start of the season, playing 15 matches with one goal and one assist. He returned to Alsace on Monday and issued an apology via an Instagram story.

In his message, he accepted he had reacted emotionally and acknowledged making a mistake, offering sincere apologies to Nantes, their players and supporters.

He wished the team good luck for the rest of the season and said he hoped the historic club would stay up, adding that he looked forward to being back on the pitch soon.
