Jurgen Klopp performs trademark Liverpool celebration on Anfield return

Jurgen Klopp performed his trademark fist-pumps in front of the Kop as he made his Anfield return in a 2-2 draw between Liverpool legends and Borussia Dortmund legends.
The former Liverpool manager was back at Anfied in his role as honorary ambassador of the LFC Foundation, taking his place in the dugout alongside Sir Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush and John Aldridge.
Steven Gerrard and Thiago Alcantara, who scored Liverpool’s opening goal in the 2-2 draw, were among the star players involved in the club’s annual charity match to raise funds for the LFC Foundation.

Klopp, who left the club in the summer of 2024 after his nine-year spell in charge, is also a legendary figure at Dortmund, having led to the German club to two Bundesliga titles and the Champions League final.
At full-time, Klopp took a moment during the lap of appreciation to pump his fist towards the Kop there times. Each punch was accompanied by a cheer from the Liverpool fans, a familiar sight from his nine years at Anfield.
Ahead of the sold-out match at Anfield, which was played in front of a crowd of 60,000, Klopp had said: “I'm third assistant to Kenny Dalglish. I heard even John Barnes is there as well, so maybe fourth. I'm more than happy with that role.
"There is a training session and I hope nobody expects me to have organised anything, because I didn't. I don't even know the squad, to be honest, but it's good to be back. I'm here for the foundation, that's all and that's fantastic."
