Manchester United have received a major boost ahead of Tuesday’s game against West Ham United, as Bryan Mbeumo is available for selection.
After making the £67 million move in the summer, the Cameroonian immediately established himself as a fan favourite at Old Trafford. While the club’s other new signings have not disgrace themselves, the ‘fantastic’ Mbeumo has arguably been the pick of the bunch.
On Saturday, the 26-year-old was instrumental once more, as he scored the opener for Man Utd, who went on beat Spurs by two unanswered goals.
However, the attacker was seen limping at the end of the match, raising fears over his physical condition.
In his pre-match press conference on Monday, United head coach Michael Carrick confirmed the absence of Matthijs de Ligt and Mason Mount, while revealing that the duo could return against Everton in two weeks.
On the other hand, the manager didn’t provide any updates on Mbeumo, fueling speculations of the explosive star’s condition.

Nevertheless, Man Utd insider Rich Fay was quick to dispel all concerns, as he revealed that the former Brentford star has joined his teammates on the trip to East London.
“Bryan Mbeumo is part of the United squad travelling to face West Ham tomorrow,” posted the journalist on his X account.
“He was spotted limping out of Old Trafford at the weekend, but looks to be available”
Mbeumo’s availability will not only delight Carrick but also the entire Man Utd fanbase, who have grown accustomed to the Cameroonian’s exploits week in week out.
It will also serve as a blow for the Hammers, as Ian Wright had recently admitted being ‘frightened’ by Mbeumo’s presence ahead of MUFC’s clash against Arsenal.
The Troyes native is originally an inverted right winger, but he’s been occupying various roles under the 44-year-old English tactician, including a striker and a left winger, while producing the goods regardless of his playing role.
United’s clash against West Ham will take place at the London Stadium. It kicks off on Tuesday, 20:15 CET. It remains to be seen if Carrick can preserve his perfect record by registering his fifth win on the trot.
