Juventus are reportedly still in the race for Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho, with the Serie A club interested in doing a deal before the summer transfer window shuts.

Sancho made his first United appearance since August 2023 when he came on as a late substitute in the Community Shield loss at the hands of Manchester City, but his future at Old Trafford still remains uncertain.

The England international was peculiarly missing from United’s matchday squad to face Fulham. Erik ten Hag told reporters that Sancho was excluded from the team due to an ear infection but he could have still played.

Earlier this summer, Sancho was heavily linked to Juventus, who were mentioned as a transfer destination he would like if he were to part ways with the Red Devils.

News on that front appeared to have gone cold but Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth has now given an update on the situation.

Sheth wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Juventus have firm interest in signing Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho.”

“They are exploring the conditions of a deal. Talks over personal terms also thought to have taken place.”

“It’s understood United would consider suitable offers.”

In addition to Juventus, Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain and La Liga giants Barcelona have also been mentioned as parties that are keen on adding the United winger to their ranks.

A recent report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that Barcelona were preparing to make a loan swoop for Sancho. As part of the deal, the Catalan giants would cover 100% of the 24-year-old’s hefty wages.

Another report claimed that United were expecting Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea to make a move for Sancho.

Ahead of United’s weekend clash at the Amex against Brighton and Hove Albion, Ten Hag was asked in his presser whether Sancho will be available to him for selection.

The Dutchman only said “We will see” as he explained the importance of having a big group of players with the right attitude and mentality.
