Juventus are reportedly in talks to sign West Ham and England defender Anouk Denton.
The 22-year-old has been a bright spark for a West Ham side who are languishing near the bottom of the Women’s Super League this season.
She was recently rewarded with her first cap for England, coming on as a late substitute during their 2-0 win over Ghana earlier this month.
Soccerdonna reports that Juventus are in negotiations with West Ham defender Anouk Denton over a potential move to Italy.
The England international reportedly has a release clause in her current contract, which the Italian giants are willing to pay.
It is reported that discussions over personal terms have already begun.
Juventus are second in the Women’s Serie A table, five points behind Roma. They are also fourth in the Women’s Champions League ahead of the final League Phase games.
Denton is contracted with the Hammers until the end of the 2027-28 season, having signed a long-term contract with the club back in January.
West Ham would be reluctant to let Denton go, especially as they appear to be in a relegation fight this season.
The Hammers were held to a 2-2 draw, despite Gemma Bonner’s 18th-minute red card for Liverpool. The Hammers were denied the win after Beata Olsson scored an 87th-minute equaliser.
Denton has had two spells at West Ham, first joining the club on loan from Arsenal in the second-half of the 2020-21 season.
Following a spell with US collegiate side Louisville Cardinals she returned to West Ham in January 2023.
She has made 52 appearances for the Hammers since her return, scoring three goals.
Denton has already made 13 appearances for Rehanne Skinner’s side this season, scoring in a 3-1 Women’s Super League victory over Everton last month.
The Hammers have taken just five points from their opening 11 matches this season. West Ham boss Skinner was disappointed her side could only draw with Liverpool after playing the majority of the match with one extra player.
West Ham are finished with the Women’s Super League until January 11th, when they travel to Chelsea.
However, the Hammers have one more game to play before their Christmas break. Skinner’s side host WSL leaders Manchester City in the Women’s League Cup on Sunday, December 21st.
West Ham will also find out who they will play in the Women’s FA Cup fourth round next month, with the draw at 7pm on Monday night.
