Juventus monitoring Serie A rising full-back Marco Palestra | OneFootball

Juventus are keeping tabs on Cagliari’s highly talented full-back Marco Palestra, who is on loan from Atalanta (h/t La Gazzetta dello Sport).

The Bianconeri offered around €20 million to sign Palestra in the summer, but the Bergamo club decided to loan him to the Sardinians.

The 20-year-old made his first-team debut with Atalanta in 2023 but struggled for regular game time. He featured in only 15 games across all competitions last season, mainly acting as a back-up for Raul Bellanova.

Palestra’s decision to leave Atalanta to revitalise his career has proven to be productive. He is off to a great start to the 2025/26 season with Cagliari.

The 20-year-old has been consistently impressive in three Serie A games, providing an assist in the 2-1 win against Lecce.

He ranks in the 99th percentile for progressive carries, 94th percentile for dribbles and 93rd for touches in the penalty area, which demonstrate his precocious talent as an attacking-minded wing-back.

Palestra has signed for a season-long loan, and he will become one of the most coveted full-backs in the market if he continues his excellent form.

Juve are looking to raid again for the Italian prodigy, but the catch is the suitors could rack up if his stock skyrockets.

The Bianconeri currently have a top-rated right wing-back in Joao Mario. They signed him from Porto for €12 million in the summer.

The Portuguese star has featured in five games for the Old Lady this season. He recorded an assist in the 4-4 draw against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League opener.

Juve manager Igor Tudor has also deployed Pierre Kalulu and Weston McKennie in the wing-back roles.
