Reports in Italy claim that Pierre Kalulu will be the next player whose contract Juventus seek to extend following the recent renewals of captain Manuel Locatelli, star attacker Kenan Yildiz, versatile midfielder Weston McKennie and head coach Luciano Spalletti.

Kalulu to receive new and improved Juventus contract?

Juventus have been busy tying up the futures of some of their key players in recent months. Locatelli, Yildiz and McKennie have all committed their futures to the Bianconeri until the summer of 2030, while Spalletti has signed up for at least another two years, until the summer of 2028.

According to Tuttosport, Kalulu is likely to be the next players to receive a contract extension from Juventus.

The Frenchman has played more minutes than any other Juventus player this season with 3,841 across 43 appearances in all competitions. This is almost 400 minutes more than the second-most featured Juventus player, Lloyd Kelly on 3,426 minutes.

Kalulu already has a contract that runs until the summer of 2029, so there is no real rush for the Bianconeri to get a deal done, but Sunday’s reports claim that there is ‘great desire’ on the club’s part to hand Kalulu a new contract.

This contract is likely to come with an extension of one or two years, until the summer of 2030 or 2031, and will also come with an increase in wages.

Kalulu reportedly earns around €2.5m per season on his current deal with the Bianconeri, and Tuttosport claims that a new contract could see him earn similar figures to Locatelli, who reportedly receives around €4m per season on his new contract.

More pressing for Juventus, however, is the currently injured Dusan Vlahovic, who is the highest earner in Serie A but has a contract that will expire at the end of the 2025-26 season. CEO Damien Comolli has recently confirmed that there is unlikely to be any news on that front until the end of the season.
