Manchester United’s latest position on a potential exit for Joshua Zirkzee has come to light, even as Juventus ramp up their pursuit of the forward.

Zirkzee struggled for regular playing time last season under both Ruben Amorim and Michael Carrick. He made 24 Premier League appearances, with only five of these coming as starts.

Benjamin Sesko is viewed as the number one striker when fit and available. Even Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha have occasionally been preferred up front in place of Zirkzee, who missed out on a place in the Netherlands squad for the 2026 World Cup.

Zirkzee is said to be tempted by a move to Juventus, seeing it as the perfect place to get his career back on track and announce himself to the footballing world again.

According to Di Marzio, talks are ongoing between all concerned parties to try and get Zirkzee’s move to Juventus over the line.

The Italian journalist further notes that United are open to loaning out Zirkzee.

Di Marzio wrote on X, “Juventus are ready to finalise the deal for Joshua Zirkzee, with talks ongoing with his agent and Manchester United.”

“United are already open for him to leave on loan.”

If United are amenable to allowing Zirkzee to depart on loan, this could prove advantageous for Juventus, who would avoid any significant immediate financial commitment.

It is likely, however, that United would incorporate performance-related triggers that would convert the loan into a permanent arrangement.
