Juventus are taking an active approach in the transfer market as pre-season progresses, but their focus is also being tested by key departures and ongoing squad restructuring. According to reports from Tutto Juve, Spazio J, and Bianconera News, several notable developments are creating a dynamic market around the Bianconeri.
One of the week’s major stories involves Federico Bernardeschi. The former Juventus winger, who has officially terminated his contract with Toronto FC, is close to sealing a return to Serie A. Fabrizio Romano reports that Bologna have moved into advanced negotiations and see Bernardeschi as one of their principal targets as they prepare for European football next season. Bernardeschi, who left Juventus in 2022, reportedly turned down other options and is expected to join Vincenzo Italiano’s team as a key reinforcement on the flanks.
Meanwhile, Juventus continue to monitor reinforcements for their own squad. Gazzetta.it reveals that Federico Pereira, the centre-back currently at Pachuca, is on their radar. The club scouted the Uruguayan-Italian defender closely during the Club World Cup, with head coach Igor Tudor personally reviewing match footage—especially Pereira’s performance against Real Madrid. Talks with Pereira’s representatives are scheduled for this week. Importantly, his dual nationality would allow Juventus to avoid using a valuable non-EU squad spot should a deal be reached.
In terms of departures, the coaching staff is also experiencing change. Claudio Filippi, who has served as Juventus’ goalkeeper coach since 2010, announced his departure after 15 years of work behind the scenes. Filippi’s long tenure spanned the club’s domestic dominance and two Champions League final appearances. There is speculation about a possible move to Milan, following former Juventus assistant Francesco Magnanelli.
The market is also affected by complications surrounding high-profile contracts and underperforming assets. The situation with Dusan Vlahovic remains unresolved—Tutto Juve and Bianconera News highlight difficulties in offloading the striker, with the player steadfastly refusing to accept a salary below €8.5 million per season. Former director Pierpaolo Marino argued that the club “should have intervened earlier,” stating that the current wages and lack of interest from other top clubs have left Juventus in a difficult position.
Elsewhere, there is continued talk of reinforcements in attack. Juventus maintain interest in high-profile targets such as Jadon Sancho, but Bianconera News notes that a deal remains unlikely without a significant reduction in the player’s wages, as the club is enforcing strict salary controls. Similarly, the possibility of a move for Xavi Simons is currently viable only by structuring a loan deal, as Leipzig have placed a lofty valuation of around €70 million on the Dutchman.
Finally, there is persistent speculation regarding Moise Kean, now at Fiorentina. According to Spazio J, Napoli—led by former Juve executive Giovanni Manna—are reportedly considering meeting Kean’s €52 million release clause as part of an attacking overhaul. This transfer could indirectly pave the way for Victor Osimhen’s move to Juventus, although negotiations remain complex and time-sensitive.
As Juventus look to reshape their squad for the new season, these moves—potential arrivals, significant exits, and transfer gridlocks—underscore a period of transition and recalibration in Turin.
