Juventus have set their sights on Spain ahead of the summer, identifying a few players who could shore up their squad or replenish it after some possible exits: Miguel Gutierrez, Yeremay Hernandez, and David Mella.
According to AS (via Mediaset), the Bianconeri have started negotiating for the Girona star and received the green light from Real Madrid, which have an €8M buy-back clause on him. He’s one of the top options to replace Andrea Cambiaso, should he join Manchester City or another top team. He’s been one of the top La Liga contributors in his role in the past three campaigns. The 23-year-old has notched 6 goals and 19 assists in 112 matches with his current club.
On the other hand, the City Football Group demands about €35M for Gutierrez, although Arthur could be part of the dream, while Yeremay Hernandez and Mella would be affordable targets for Juventus, La Gazzetta dello Sport informs.
They both star for Deportivo La Coruna and could depart rather than spending another campaign in the second division. The former was in high demand last summer, but his side convinced him to stay. The two wingers have scored 16 and 6 goals respectively, dishing out 5 helpers each.
Cambiaso has had a poor season amid a few injuries, so it wouldn’t be surprising if they accepted a large bid for him. However, at some point, they should prioritize building a core over financial machinations. The Girona ace would be an excellent substitute. The two starlets wouldn’t be too expensive, but it’ll be tough to lure them away from Spain. All in all, the Bianconeri are in decent shape in that position.
