Arsenal forward Kai Havertz’s title-winning shirt was sold at a MatchWornShirt auction last month.
Mikel Arteta led the Gunners to their first Premier League title in 22 years, and fans of the club have been scrambling to get their hands on memorabilia to celebrate.
Havertz bagged the only goal to secure a 1-0 victory over Burnley, which put pressure on Manchester City. They failed to win against Bournemouth, handing the title to the Gunners.
The shirt the German wore in that game sold for more than any of the other 4,000 Premier League shirts listed for auction by MatchWornShirt during the season.
Leandro Trossard’s 83rd-minute winner in the 1-0 win against West Ham United also proved crucial in the title race.
His shirt for the game sold for £22,500, making it the third-highest sold on the website.
Arsenal fans have been supporting their players, with shirt sales for Brazilian centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes increasing by 350 percent following his penalty miss in Saturday’s Champions League final.
He became the top-selling name printed on Gunners jerseys over the weekend, and the sales of his shirt doubled those of any other shirt being sold at one point.
Demand for Arsenal shirts with ‘champions’ on the back has also skyrocketed.
People logging onto the club’s online store to buy this particular merchandise this week were greeted with a message stating that they may experience delays in receiving their orders.
The Gunners’ home shirt for next season is one of the most popular items being ordered.
Customers have been warned that orders will not be shipped until the end of June due to the huge demand.
