Karim Adeyemi completes move to FC Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund | OneFootball

Karim Adeyemi has completed a permanent move from Borussia Dortmund to FC Barcelona on Thursday, with Dortmund opting to sell as the Germany international entered the final year of his contract.

According to BuLi News, the fixed fee is €22 million and he has signed until 2031. With bonuses, Dortmund hope to recoup the €30 million they paid to sign him from RB Salzburg four years ago.

BVB sporting managing director Lars Ricken said Adeyemi played a significant part over the past four years, including the 2024 Champions League final run, and that both parties agreed this summer to go their separate ways. He wished the player and his family well.

Adeyemi thanked Dortmund, his team-mates and supporters for four years he described as great, and said he wishes the club the best as he starts a new chapter.

The winger made 146 appearances for Dortmund, 98 in the Bundesliga, scoring 36 goals, 23 in the league. Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick was Germany boss when Adeyemi made his senior international debut at 19.
