Kenny Jackett, the former Wolves head coach who delivered the League One title in 2013/14 with a club-record 103 points, has died aged 64.

Wolves said in a statement that they were devastated by his passing, credited him with laying the foundations for the club as it is today, and sent their thoughts to his family and friends.

Appointed after back-to-back relegations from the Premier League under previous managers, Jackett steadied the club and restored momentum on and off the pitch.

Renowned for a positive, bright manner, he was widely liked by supporters and players throughout his time at the club.

His managerial career stretched across four decades, from his first role at Watford to his final position at Gillingham.
