Manchester United are interested in Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram, as per reports.
Juventus signed the Frenchman from INEOS-owned OGC Nice in a deal worth €20 million (£17.46m) in July 2024.
Thuram has established himself as a regular in Turin, with Luciano Spalletti eager to make the dynamic midfielder a crucial part of his project.
According to Tutto Juve, Juventus face a massive battle to keep hold of Khephren Thuram amid increasing Premier League interest.
It is claimed that Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United are all ready to make a serious move to secure the 25-year-old’s services in the summer.
The physically dominant 6ft 4in defensive midfielder is thriving under Spalletti, impressing with his ball-carrying, strong tackles, and ground coverage. Former Juventus manager Thiago Motta once hailed him as a “very complete player.”
However, Juve continue to struggle to pick up positive results and currently find themselves fifth in the Serie A table, three points behind fourth-placed Como.
Champions League qualification will be crucial for Juventus to retain Thuram amid the “triple threat”.
It is added that Newcastle are willing to take concrete steps to sign Thuram if Sandro Tonali were to leave.
Tonali has been strongly linked with Juventus, who reportedly want to bring him back to Serie A. However, they are unlikely to be able to compete financially with his suitors in England.
United are also keen on Tonali, who is capable of playing as both a No.6 and a No.8. Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report claiming Tonali is open to moving to Old Trafford and filling the departing Casemiro’s void.
Champions League football may also have a major impact on how Manchester United’s midfield will look next season, as qualification would allow the Red Devils to overhaul the area by bringing in several high-profile players.
