Kieran Tierney 'to stay' at Arsenal before summer return to Celtic | OneFootball

Kieran Tierney will stay at Arsenal for the final six months of his contract before making a return to Celtic on a free transfer, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The 27-year-old has reportedly agreed a pre-contract deal with his former club, but Brendan Rodgers was hoping to have him on loan for the rest of the season.

However, Mikel Arteta wants to keep the defender, who can play both on the left and in the centre, for the run-in, with Riccardo Calafiori suffering several injuries already this season, and Takehiro Tomiyasu yet to return to action.

Tierney had a hugely successful first stint with Celtic, winning four league titles and multiple domestic cups, making 170 appearances and scoring eight goals before moving down south in 2019.
