Kita continues to impress Matarazzo at Real Sociedad | OneFootball

While Spain’s 2026 World Cup celebrations continue, Real Sociedad press on at Zubieta in week three of pre-season, with Kazunari Kita continuing to impress Pellegrino Matarazzo. They finish the week with a Saturday friendly against Wolverhampton.

As reported by AS, their first outing of the summer ended 1-1 against Racing de Santander last Saturday, and Kita played the second half, standing out in the air and in his defending.

The 20-year-old is among the youngsters training with the first team. He spent last season with Sanse, and on 30 June La Real triggered a 1.5 million euro option to buy, signing him through 2030.

He had already joined senior sessions on several occasions last term, and Matarazzo said he liked the defender, while stressing the early impression was positive but he must keep integrating and developing.

Kita will play for Sanse this season, with the B team staying in Segunda División, and the first-team coach will track him closely. He is expected to partner Luken Beitia, who extended his deal on Friday until 2030.
