The Manchester United predicted lineup for their EFL Cup clash against Barnsley

Manchester United’s EFL Cup campaign gets underway this midweek with a home clash against Barnsley.

The Premier League side will be hoping to win back the trophy after their 2023 triumph, failing to retain their title with a 3-0 loss to Newcastle United in the fourth round.

Erik ten Hag’s side come into the fixture off the back of a 3-0 win against Southampton on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Barnsley are currently seventh in the League One table, having earned 10 points from their opening six games.

Darrell Clarke’s side will come into the game off the back of a 3-0 loss to Stevenage at the weekend, earning a third round clash with previous victories over Wigan Athletic and Sheffield United.

GK: Altay Bayındır

Altay Bayındır has been second choice at Manchester United since joining the club last year, with his only appearance coming in an FA Cup win over Newport County in January.
