Turkish Super Lig club Konyaspor are exploring a move for Sunderland left-back Arthur Masuaku this summer, according to Yeni Açık.
Yeni Açık reports that Konyaspor have identified the 32-year-old DR Congo international as a potential addition.
Masuaku joined Sunderland from Beşiktaş last summer, returning to English football after previously representing West Ham United in the Premier League.
Signed to add experience on the left of Régis Le Bris’ squad, he struggled to secure a regular place and moved to RC Lens on loan in January for the remainder of the 25-26 Ligue 1 campaign.
His longer-term status on Wearside is uncertain as Sunderland reshape for Premier League, Europa League and domestic cup commitments.
Reinildo Mandava remains an established option at left-back, while Aji Alese and Leo Hjelde can provide cover, although their readiness for Premier League action is unproven. Sunderland are expected to consider suitable offers for players unlikely to feature regularly, with outgoings significant under Premier League and UEFA squad-cost rules. Masuaku’s experience with Beşiktaş could appeal to Konyaspor as they weigh up defensive options.
