Sheffield Wednesday administrator Kris Wigfield has delivered a message to Owls fans ahead of their clash with West Bromwich Albion
Sheffield Wednesday administrator Kris Wigfield has delivered a message to Owls supporters ahead of Saturday's clash with West Bromwich Albion.
Wednesday's encounter with West Brom marks their final game of a difficult Championship season, which has seen them win just one game in 45 attempts.
If the Owls earn their second win of the campaign against the Baggies, they will finish on zero points, having been deducted 18 points because of former owner Dejphon Chansiri's financial wrongdoings.
Prospective Wednesday owner David Storch is still vying to complete his takeover by Friday, and there will be a special atmosphere for Saturday's clash with West Brom if the American can stick to that deadline.

Despite the Owls' Championship struggles this term, supporters have continued to back their side in numbers since Chansiri's exit.
As reported by the Sheffield Star, Wednesday fans have been encouraged to wear Hawaiian fancy dress for the encounter with the Baggies and to bring inflatables to Hillsborough Stadium.
Meanwhile, posting on X on Tuesday, administrator Wigfield wrote: "And that's a wrap, folks. Sold out!" confirming the impressive attendance for the South Yorkshire club's clash with West Brom.
Last time out against the Baggies, Wednesday drew 0-0 at The Hawthorns, but they will be hoping to go one better than that on home soil this Saturday by earning all three points.
James Morrison's men can head to Hillsborough Stadium without any nerves, as they successfully retained their Championship status by drawing 0-0 with Ipswich Town last time out.
The Baggies have avoided relegation to League One at Oxford United's expense, even though the Black Country club were deducted two points because of financial breaches.

Wednesday supporters will be emotional at the sight of a full Hillsborough Stadium on Saturday, following months of hardship both on and off the field this term.
The season began with an incredibly difficult summer transfer window after Chansiri consistently failed to pay player and staff wages on time.
Former star players Djeidi Gassama and Josh Windass were among those who left South Yorkshire last summer and joined Rangers and Wrexham, respectively.
The Owls were subsequently plunged into administration thanks to Chansiri, and the winter transfer window was also a tough watch for supporters, with club legend Barry Bannan joining Millwall, and starlet Bailey Cadamarteri moving to Wrexham.
Storch remains intent on completing his Wednesday takeover by Friday, and supporters will finally be given light at the end of the tunnel if that plan comes to fruition.
The American's Arise consortium have already impressed key figures in S6, including first team boss Henrik Pedersen, who is also looking forward to working with a more stable backdrop.
However, there are still complications for Storch and Co to navigate, as the Owls could be handed a 15-point deduction in League One next season because the bid fell below the amount required to pay creditors 25p in the pound.
Chansiri is the main creditor, but talks between the Thai businessman and Arise have stalled, decreasing the likelihood of the 15-point penalty being wiped.
If Storch completes his takeover, though, Wednesday will no longer be under existential threat, and supporters will issue a collective sigh of relief this weekend.
