Kylian Mbappé names former Real Madrid star as his ‘role model’ | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has this weekend opened up once more on his appreciation for the talents and career of Blancos icon Cristiano Ronaldo.

This comes with the Frenchman currently doing his best to emulate the achievements of CR7 in Spain’s capital.

Mbappé has of course continued to dominate the headlines at Real Madrid across the early weeks of the new campaign.

As much comes with the 26-year-old in the midst of nothing short of a blistering stretch of form in front of goal.

Mbappé has found the net in each of his last 10 appearances for club and country, the kind of production which gives rise to inevitable comparisons with ex-Blancos standout Ronaldo.

Speaking during an interview with Movistar (as cited by Fabrizio Romano) late this week, Mbappé was therefore drawn on the name of the Portuguese veteran for the latest time.

And the former PSG man did not hesitate in confirming:

“Cristiano Ronaldo has always been my role model, an example for me. I’m lucky to talk to him, he gives me advice, he helps me… he’s number one. He’s the reference of Real Madrid. People still dream and talk of Cristiano now.”
