Real Madrid have a number of exciting young prospects coming through the ranks at the club’s youth ranks. But given the competition for places and the quality in the senior squad, not all get the opportunity to make the jump to the big stage.

As such, almost every season there is a sort of an exodus of talents from the club’s Castilla setup as the youngsters from the reserve team look to take the next step in their careers.

Victor Munoz attracting La Liga interest

The likes of Miguel Gutierrez, Sergio Arribas, Nico Paz, and Rafa Marin, among many others, have left Real Madrid in recent years and another young talent could follow suit.

Indeed, according to Mundo Deportivo, Rayo Vallecano and RCD Mallorca have shown an interest in signing Real Madrid Castilla starlet Victor Munoz in the summer.

The 21-year-old winger has been at Real Madrid since 2021, having arrived from the CF Damm youth academy, prior to which he had spent three years at Barcelona’s La Masia between 2014 and 2017.

Currently a part of Raul Gonzalez’s Castilla team, Munoz has had a solid campaign, racking up ten goals and six assists from 30 appearances in the RFEF Primera Division.

Munoz has not made his senior debut for Real Madrid but he was named in the matchday squad once in La Liga this term, interestingly, against Rayo Vallecano, who are now keen to sign him.

Mallorca, too, are understood to be interested in the 21-year-old attacking prospect, whose contract at Real Madrid expires in 2026.

It now remains to be seen whether Real Madrid decide to let go of the young winger or opt to hand him a new contract and keep him at the club beyond this season.
