La Liga release Barcelona fixtures of 2026-27 season as El Clasico dates revealed | OneFootball

On Tuesday, La Liga announced the complete fixture list for the 2026-27 season, with Barcelona now knowing who they will play across the 38 matchdays. Hansi Flick’s side are going for three titles in a row, and as long as they are able to keep their core group of players together over the summer, they will have a very good chance of achieving their goals.

Barcelona will start the season on the weekend of the 16th of August with a home match against Athletic Club, with their first away fixture the following weekend at Espanyol. Rayo Vallecano then travel to the Spotify Camp Nou before back-to-back trips to Valencia and Levante round off their first set of five matches.

Fans will eagerly anticipate the first El Clasico fixture of the season, which takes place on MD10 – the weekend of the 25th of October – at the Spotify Camp Nou, with the return match being at the Bernabeu on MD35 in May.

As for Atletico Madrid, whom Barcelona have angered with their pursuit of Julian Alvarez, Flick’s side will travel to the Riyadh Air Metropolitano on MD12 before welcoming Diego Simeone’s men to Catalonia on MD23, scheduled for early February.

Can Barcelona make it a hat-trick of La Liga title wins?

Barcelona will start the season as favourites to retain their crown, but with an angry Real Madrid determined to bounce back under the management of new head coach Jose Mourinho, it will likely not be as easy as it was during the previous two campaigns. Nevertheless, Flick’s side have more than enough quality to get the job done, especially if they do manage to get a deal for Alvarez done before the summer transfer window closes in late August.

For now, the focus within Can Barca is on transfer business, but soon, they will look forward to the start of the new La Liga season.
