There were three matches involving La Liga sides played on Tuesday, with Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Valencia and Real Oviedo in action. The two Madrid clubs were in Champions League action against Kairat Almaty and Eintracht Frankfurt, with the latter pair facing off at the Mestalla after their scheduled meeting on Monday was postponed.

Atletico Madrid 5-1 Eintracht Frankfurt
Atletico Madrid scored five goals for the second match in a row, as they followed up their Madrid derby demolition with another in the Champions League. Giacomo Raspadori got the show underway after four minutes with his first goal since joining in the summer, before Robin Le Normand finished from close range to make it 2-0.
It would be three just before half time as Julian Alvarez set up Antoine Griezmann to score his 200th goal in Atleti colours. He had number 201 ruled out soon after, but it mattered little as Giuliano Simeone and Alvarez himself added to the scoreline. Jonathan Burkardt got a consolation for Frankfurt in the second period.

Valencia 1-2 Real Oviedo
Real Oviedo picked up their second win of the season, and first away from home, in dramatic fashion at the Mestalla. The hosts took the lead in the opening stages courtesy of a fantastic volley from Arnaut Danjuma, who would go from hero to villain late on as he missed a penalty to make it 2-0.
And that cost Valencia, who conceded in the 85th and 86th minute to goals from Luka Ilic and Salomon Rondon respectively. The former was sent off in stoppage time, but it did not matter in the end at Oviedo held on to a result that sees them climb to 14th in the La Liga standings. As for Los Che, they stay in 12th.
