Roma is now very close to securing Giacomo Raspadori, but final confirmation has yet to arrive.
The player’s response is expected today, with negotiations appearing to have reached a crucial point.
As reported by La Repubblica, Roma sporting director Frederic Massara is also working on a possible swap deal with Napoli, involving strikers Lorenzo Lucca and Evan Ferguson.
The Irishman, on loan from Brighton, has yet to convince Gasperini and the Roma management, and could return to the English club.
The former Udinese player, however, is still on his way out of Napoli. Ferguson’s possible return to Brighton is therefore a necessary step, but the main objective remains the Napoli center forward, who could be the Giallorossi’s first attacking addition in the winter transfer window.
Roma continues to monitor other options, but Raspadori remains the hottest name.
The deal could be concluded quickly, with Massara ready to close once he receives a definitive response from the striker.
