LaLiga 2026-27 calendar confirmed, season starts 15 August, Clásico 25 October | OneFootball

The federation announced the full 2026-27 LaLiga calendar, with 380 Primera División games scheduled from 15 August to 30 May.

Barcelona begin their title defence against Athletic, while Mourinho’s Real Madrid face Real Sociedad. Those two matches, plus Atlético Madrid v Málaga and Valencia v Betis, will be played midweek on 25, 26 or 27 August because those clubs had players in the World Cup semi-finals or final.

Promoted Racing, Deportivo and Málaga open against Villarreal, Elche and Atlético respectively. Villarreal, Málaga and Real Sociedad start away, as requested, due to stadium works, local events or security considerations.

The Madrid derby arrives early, Atlético hosting Real Madrid on 20 September, with the return on 4 April. The first Clásico is on 25 October at Camp Nou, the Bernabéu staging the second on 9 May.

The schedule was built jointly by the federation, LaLiga and Liga F, using more than 400 constraints to avoid major clashes across Spanish competitions. Valencia will bid farewell to Mestalla this season, with their final home match against Elche.

There will be no Christmas football, with a break from 22 December to 2 January. The league also pauses for international windows from 21 September to 6 October, 9 to 17 November and 22 to 30 March, and features only two midweek rounds, 6 and 33.
