Lamine Yamal was named the world's best young sportsman at the Laureus Awards.
The ceremony took place in Madrid on Monday.

According to L'Équipe, he spoke about taking on new responsibilities, particularly off the pitch.
He also paid tribute to Lionel Messi, whom he regards as an idol.
The Barcelona forward expressed hope of forging a career similar to Messi's.
