FC Barcelona added another league title to their cabinet last Sunday after beating Real Madrid, and took their tally of La Liga titles to 29. Meanwhile, the young winger Lamine Yamal, who is still only 18 years of age, took his La Liga tally to 3, achieving a feat no one else has in the Blaugrana club’s history at such a young age.

Although he has not been able to play in the last few games due to an injury, he still participated fully in the title celebrations and enjoyed the victory parade in particular.

As Mundo Deportivo has reported, the youngster also spoke to the media during this parade, and thanked the fans for their support:

“It’s incredible, they are always with us on the important days and even on the ones that are not so important. It’s the club of our lives. We will always be here for them; we love them.”

The Spaniard also asked for recognition of the great effort the team had made to land this league title:

“We have to value every title and every year we win because it’s not easy. We’ve had very bad years, but now we are enjoying it a lot. You think it’s a Monday, you’re in Barcelona, and people are working, but they are always here with us.”

Meanwhile, Lamine Yamal reiterated his promise to bring the UCL to Barcelona:

“A Champions League parade? For sure. My parents taught me that a man’s word is always kept… and we will bring it to Barcelona.”

Hopefully, Lamine Yamal would fulfill this promise as soon as possible, as it has been quite some time since the UCL trophy last came to Barcelona.
