A late equaliser from substitute Philip Billing meant Napoli's and Inter's table topping clash finished all square at 1-1 in Serie A on Saturday.
Scorers: Billing 87'; Dimarco 22'
The deadlock was broken in stunning fashion midway through the first half, when Federico Dimarco found the top corner with an inch-perfect free-kick for Inter.
It was the Nerazzurri's first Serie A goal from a direct free-kick for over two years, with Dimarco also scoring the last one, back in November 2022.
But the wing-back's evening ended prematurely when he had to be substituted with an injury in the 51st minute, to be replaced by Benjamin Pavard.
Napoli went close to an equaliser just after the hour mark when a rebound fell at the feet of Scott McTominay in the box, but his effort was saved excellently by Inter's stand-in goalkeeper Josep Martínez.
But the leveller did come in the 87th-minute, and it was substitute Billing who found the net for the hosts, poking home a rebound after Inter goalkeeper Martínez had made an excellent stop to deny his initial effort.
That result means Inter remain one point ahead of Napoli at the top of Serie A, with Atlanta - who could only draw 0-0 with Venezia earlier in the day - still three points behind the league leaders.
