Lazio confirm sale of 18-year-old Lorenzo Calvani to AC Milan

Lazio have sold 18-year-old full-back Lorenzo Calvani to AC Milan, completing a second deal between the clubs this summer.

Both clubs confirmed the move on Thursday. Lazio said in a statement the transfer is permanent, subject to international clearance, and wished the teenager success in his next chapter.

Calvani was regarded as one of the most promising youngsters at Formello. He was not called into Gennaro Gattuso's first-team pre-season, with his exit expected since the start of the summer.

At left-back, Lazio already have significant depth, with Alfonso Pedraza joining Nuno Tavares and Luca Pellegrini.

He will begin with Milan Futuro, the club's second team in Serie D, Italy's fourth tier.

Earlier this month, the Biancocelesti sold Mario Gila to the Rossoneri in a deal worth €30 million.
